	“We care for our staff, our guests and our environs “ The Negombo Hoteliers Association (NHA) has been in existence for the last 26 years. The Association comprises 18 hotels located in the region and is bound by the constitution enacted by the members of its committee. The managers converge in one hotel to hold a monthly meeting each month, culminating with an Annual General Meeting towards the end of the year. Aims and objectives of NHA The association is non-profit bearing. 1) For goodwill & the development of a “ chain of friendship” To create goodwill among the member hotels in the Negombo region. 2) To foster the industry Our aim is to project the Negombo region as the safest and attractive destination for all travelers, locally and worldwide and to reap mutual economic benefits to our nation and the Negombo regional hotels, the stakeholders and the entire community. 3) To provide training programmes to the hotel staff. NHA gives great emphasis to conduct training programmes for managers/ executives and all other staff of various departments. Throughout the year many staff awareness / development programmes are conducted to enhance their knowledge. 4) To exchange recreational & sports activities NHA is committed to developing the sports activities and the many annual events which are organized to promote cricket and other sports among the hoteliers. These sports events provide the opportunity to promote goodwill amongst the staff, and also strengthen their team spirit / discipline NHA declares : Year - 2005 for human resources development.
